This declaration was made by the Minister via a post on X on Monday while giving an update on the progress of the 3MTT programme.
The 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme is aimed at building Nigeria’s technical talent backbone to power its digital economy and position Nigeria as a net talent exporter.
According to the Minister, “over the last few months, our first cohort has gone through training programmes across 12 skill areas and we have received a lot of positive feedback from our fellows. The initial prototype phase has also given us a chance to take learnings as we execute and this feedback will help us scale and improve on the overall experience for our fellows and 121 training providers across Nigeria.”
“As we move into the next phase of an additional 270,000 fellows to be trained over the next 18 months, we are encouraged by the growing support from partners and stakeholders in our journey to deliver 3 million technical talents by 2027”, he added. The update is that the list is out, and yours truly is on the list for cohort 3.
